I watched a Youtube video that showed Electron staff replacing a hybrid battery. The video production was good quality and the technical instruction was very thorough. Thank you for posting this video, it helped me save several hundred dollars. You guys are the best!

The total (dead battery and other stuff to fix) actually came out LESS, waaaay less than we anticipated and were being quoted by other shops! When does THAT ever happen?!

This company saved me a bundle of money. I have a prius that needed a hybrid battery. The videos on YouTube convinced me that I could tackle this job myself. I bought the individual batteries and rebuilt the battery myself. It took me about 2 hours total including pulling the battery pack out and putting it back in car. After resetting the codes by disconnecting the car battery the car runs better than ever. Thanks electron!

Found about these guys from people on YouTube who bought their Prius battery’s from them. I must say these guys are amazing battery came in two business days as promised. Chris I believe he’s the owner super cool dude so is Tyler both super cool. Was having problems after I put my hybrid battery in called them got it fixed with no problems. I would recommend them!

These guys are amazing & I’m very satisfied with their work. My 2010 Prius IV wasn't starting and the Check Hybrid System light was on. In an industry where honesty and integrity are hard to come by, Electron exemplifies how a mechanic shop should act. Chris was straight forward with pricing and honest in his diagnostics. I paid what I was quoted & he didn’t upsell me or tack on unnecessary fees. Instead, he fixed what needed to be fixed (my hybrid battery) and charged me the $1000 that I was quoted & not a penny more. Most other places quoted at least $300 more. They picked up the phone when I called & they even stayed late so I could pick up my car when I was stuck in traffic. 10/10 will recommend. Great job Electron!!!
Took my 2008 Prius in for repair due to check engine light and Chris fixed the problem at a fair price and also found another problem from a previous repair done at another place and fixed it for free! Best place to go for your automotive repairs if you own a Prius and need it fixed. Go see Chris @ Electron you will never go anywhere else

I had just bought a used Civic Hybrid and found out about these guys through research/ online forums. Decided to bring the car down for a full check-up of its hybrid drive systems.
Making an appointment was simple, the inspection was done in less time than their original ETA, and Chris was friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth when giving me the facts.
Will definitely be back when I need a new hybrid battery installed. Great shop.

Highly recommend! These guys saved me thousands on my repairs compared to quotes I received from other mechanics! They were honest and got the job done in a totally reasonable amount of time. These guys are my #1 shop for my hybrid! I go out of my way to bring my car to Electron!
I highly recommend these guys. Toyota of Orange, right down the street, quoted me $4k for what Electron did for $1.4k. I really appreciated their complimentary inspection with photos and videos. The dealership recommends services based on age and miles; these guys will tell you what your car actually needs. I'm glad to have found a reliable mechanic for my Prius and RAV4 EV.
Chris and his team are truly amazing. I went in for a new Hybrid Battery and 12V Battery on my 2006 Prius. Which sounds crazy expensive, I know! ...but Chris totally hooked me up. He only charged me $1458 for parts (installation was free with purchase). I was so sad because I thought my car was totaled, after getting quotes from other places. Toyota was going to charge me $4000+ for the Hybrid Battery alone and $360 for the 12V Battery. Oh! Toyota was also going to charge me $135 to diagnose and other places as well. I highly recommend you give this place a shot! They're super sweet and genuine!
Hybrid battery broken down and they got it replaced quick with competitive pricing! Some issue came up a couple months later and they not only replaced my battery but Chris also did a deep diagnosis and found out the battery sensor was the problem and he fixed it quickly. Chris and the team are the nicest/respectful people in the business and very knowledgeable! You can't get better business ethics than these guys;))
A couple months after, the main hybrid battery itself finally took a dump from normal wear and tear. Of course the panic set in, but Chris, the owner, gave me three options to choose from based off my budget. He went through the process and explained what is done when they rebuild these batteries. it was actually interesting cause i had no idea. So they rebuilt the hybrid battery for $999 and not a penny over. That included the diagnosis, parts, and labor. And again, a one year warranty for peace of mind. Toyota would've told me to buy a whole new battery pack which would have been almost $3000.
I will definitely be taking my moms prius back to Electron every time, for any service because the customer service is A+.
This place was the first mechanic I've really felt that I could trust in a long time. Chris really was great about listening to the issue and explaining things to me so I understood what was going on with my car. Also, if you have a hybrid, you definitely should think about going to a specialist like this. I had the same car issue for awhile and taking it to a regular mechanic got me nowhere. Once I took it here, Chris knew immediately what it might be, which was something that the non-specialist mechanics could never seem to figure out. Also, prices are very reasonable here. Definitely have found the mechanic for my Prius
My prius is more than a decade old, so I was pretty worried when it started flashing a warning light I hadn't seen before. I made an appointment at a dealership service section, but walked out because of how they were treating me, and luckily called electron. They were able to give me a quote over the phone, and work on my car immediately. They even had toys and crayons to entertain my daughter and water and coffee in their waiting area. And my car was finished before the time the dealership would have even looked at it, despite the appointment I'd made (and for a lot less money)! There was a miscommunication which meant us waiting around after our car was finished, so they made it up to us with a free oil change
Wow these guys are incredible. When I got my 2007 Honda civic hybrid I had no idea that the IMA battery didn't have a shelf life that would match the car itself. Lucky when my battery did start to die I found Chris and his crew at Electron. These guys are amazing, and are really reasonable when it comes to pricing. I was super lucky to have found this place and would recommend them to everyone who has a hybrid. I am going back in a week or so to get some work done on my A/C fans and could not be happier to have anyone else be doing the work on my civic. Please do yourself a favor and check these guys out before you get any work done or your hybrids. Thanks Electron!!!!
I got my 12v battery replaced here. Service was great and quick! If you have a hybrid, do not go to a dealership, because they overcharge you. The workers here know how to handle hybrid vehicles, so this is the better option.
Great service and value! Replaced my 2010 Toyota Prius main traction battery. The team at Electron were great to deal with and I felt at ease knowing the warranty is through them. Battery was installed in about 2 hours, same day service.
What a great repair shop for hybrids. Chris and team did a great job and their customer service was superior. I came after much frustration from my Toyota dealer and left here very satisfied with the outcome and service. These guys are pros all around - highly recommended! I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I dealt with Renato right from the start in which he was extremely professional, friendly, and trustworthy. My Prius battery died on me out of the blue with 158,000 miles on it. Toyota quoted me a ridiculous amount to replace it and Renato did it for LESS THAN 1/3 of the price WITH a one year guarantee. My car now runs smooth as ever and I couldn't be happier! Did I mention, he detailed the car inside & out, gave me an air freshener, and even buffed out a large area on my front bumper that I had damaged months prior (FOR FREE). Renato is a saint!

After giving 2 stars, I retract my review to 5 stars. The owner Chris personally called me to apologize about the misunderstanding and offered to pick up my car to fix my dashboard screen and deliver it to my home. I guess the lady who I initially spoke to wasn't very detailed on what my car needed, and things where misunderstood. Chris was kind enough to call and remedy the situation. I applaud them for this and it's the reason why I'm giving them 5 stars. Oh, and most importantly my car is running like new since the new battery was replaced. Im adding to this because as stated, the owner Chris, kept his word and drove to my house and picked up my car to fix my screen. Who else does this?! They have definitely won me over.
My 2006 Toyota Prius failed on its battery and it was not drivable. I reached out and spoke to Chris which was incredibly informative and nice. He was able to send someone out same day to my house to replace my battery. The whole process was smooth sailing and I greatly appreciate the work they did for me and I would recommend them to anyone.
Had an electrical problem with my Lexus and they fixed it also I asked that they install a lighted up Lexus door sill an they wired it all up, I was very happy at how quickly they took care of me with no appointment, these guys are amazing with electrical work. If you have an electric car or Hybrid Battery issue that is out of warranty this should be your number one place to have it fixed, they definitely know what they are doing
I cannot recommend Electron enough, especially for hybrid owners. When the Toyota service department told me that my 2010 Toyota Prius was essentially junk because of a defect in my engine, after years of faithful servicing my car with them, I had no recourse with Toyota and hated the thought of giving up my car. I needed to swap out my engine at 65k or sell my car at a huge loss. The guys at Electron did the job, saved me thousands of dollars and allowed me to keep my car running. I've needed a few more fixes since then but Chris has always been very honest, communicative, and the fixes were very fairly priced. In a world full of mechanics who swindle you and shy away from difficult jobs, Chris and his team are standouts.
Had the dreaded IMA light on my car so I decided to take it here after doing some research on Yelp. I did not regret my decision at all! Chris and crew were extremely courteous and knowledgeable about hybrids. I felt comfortable from start to finish, they even showed me my old original battery from 2003! It had a good run, and now with the rebuilt battery, many more years to come. Thank you guys!
This shop is about as honest and dependable as you can get. Hybrids can be very fickle vehicles and it's tough to find the right group of technicians to get the job done right. Electron is that shop. Chris and his crew made sure my vehicle was fixed properly. When I got the bill for my battery replacement I was surprised at how reasonable it was on my wallet. All in all, I was very happy with the customer service, the quick turnaround of my car, and just the overall experience. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who owns a hybrid vehicle. Chris will take care of you and I can say that from personal experience. Without a doubt, they will have me as their customer for a very long time.
So today would be my fist I'm at Electron. These guys aren't your typical Grease Monkeys . Vary and highly highly-educated, fast, reliable, competitive prices, and more friendly than your typical mechanic. I would highly recommend Electron to anyone out there looking to solve or troubleshoot problems of the highest difficulty. As far as pricing goes, I was surprised and how much more I saved using them then going to my dealer. They are also certified in many fields of the mechanical world and the amount of professionalism shown to me these past times pushed me to write a review. I am super picky, high maintenance, and usually have unrealistic expectations of people and services. Electron has not only met those standards but passed them. My mechanic was Chris so if anybody calls them ask for Chris.
Great experience. I came in the morning after July 4th and had a new battery installed in less than a half an hour. Chris was honest, efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with hybrid issues.
These guys are great! Absolutely excellent customer service and quality of work! They are professional and really know their hybrid batteries. They have helped me out numerous times with my Nissan Altima for a fraction of what the dealer charges. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a hybrid. Joe and Chris are especially helpful!
My daughter has a Gen1 Prius and we bought battery cells and a refurbished busbar from them. The price was reasonable, ordering was easy and with the help of their videos (and a couple others on YouTube), we got it installed in a day and a half. I called them with multiple questions and Joe and Tyler were incredibly helpful and honest. Thanks for saving us about $1,000 in labor costs! I completely recommend them and hope your experience was as good as ours!

Don't know why I haven't done this yet... Chris and his team at Electron are the best... hands down. I'll never forget one of the first times I visited - AC down on an old Benz. Everyone else wanted a quick fix... "buy a new compressor.." Chris rebuilt it at half the price. That's the stuff you don't forget.
Out here in NJ my 2006 Prius's hybrid battery suddenly kicked the bucket, as they do at 150k miles. With a rebuild kit shipped quickly from Electron, I was back on the road in a few days. Great installation instruction video, and a fun project quite manageable for a do-it-yourselfer.

Chris and his team at Electron were so great that I had to share. They took a consultative approach to repairing my Prius & didn’t try to upsell me on things I didn’t need. They patiently walked me through the process and gave me an honest opinion on what they’d do in my situation. You don’t find that in the auto repair industry anymore and it was an amazing experience. They took a stressful and costly situation and turned in into a fair, cost effective solution. Before you get a massive battery quote from a dealership you should talk with Electron. They resolved my hybrid battery issue at a fraction of what Toyota quoted & it was installed the very next day.
What a discovery this place is for owners of hybrids. My daughter's Prius needed a new hybrid battery and the cost from a dealership can be ridiculous. Electron sold me the same battery with a 3 year warranty for half of what the dealership wanted with a 1 year warranty. They even came to my home to install the battery even though I was outside of their local service area.
Needless to say the car is now working perfectly with what appears to be a VERY healthy hybrid pack. This will be my number 1 place for any future repairs to all 3 of my hybrids. Do yourself a favor and discuss any hybrid problems with Electron before you go to a dealer.
I cannot say enough great things about Electron!!! I was pretty nervous when my Nissan Leaf would not charge & I know that electric batteries are expensive. I've heard horror stories about regular mechanics working on hybrids & price gouging. I was referred to Electron and I couldn’t be happier.
Joe & Tyler were professional, knowledgeable, and communicative. I received quick reply emails, they answered my questions and returned calls immediately & they sent text messages with pics during the entire inspection process. It was nothing short of amazing.
They also pointed out minor issues before they became big problems, but didn’t pressure me or try to upsell me on doing more work. I hope nothing else goes wrong, but if it does, I feel so much better knowing I can turn to Electron!
Electron is the ABSOLUTE best place to take your hybrid. I’ve been coming to Chris and his team for over 5 years and will never take my cars anywhere else. They take the time to walk you through the process & tell you why it's important. Joe even took the time to explain to my father, a mechanic for many years, what had to be repaired and why. These guys are awesome!! They installed a new battery in my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid and my Toyota Prius for ½ of what the dealerships quoted. I couldn't be happier with the batteries and if you have any Hybrid needs, do yourself a favor and call Electron and they will take great care of you. You guys are the best!!
Thank you to the staff and especially Joe. I had just bought my first hybrid on my own in 15 years & only had it for 5 mths when it stopped. My tow guy recommended me to Electron. From the time i met them i was and remain impressed. I work as a case manager and i know how angry and frustrated clients can rub a person the wrong way. But not Joe. I walked in the door and it was like meeting up with a friend. His battery prices were half of the dealers, yes i checked, & I never felt i was being up-sold and Joe wasn’t fazed by my 5-10 calls a day. I can honestly say that Electron will be the only place my car goes to. I have 2 boys and they will also be Electron customers. Electron is safe, clean and they treated me in a professional, but courteous manner throughout the entire process. Thank You Electron.

This review is long overdue. I have been taking my Prius to Electron for a couple years now after Toyota of Orange wanted to charge me 700$ to replace the hybrid battery fan. Electron charged me 60$ instead to simply to clean it, and have had zero issues since. My girlfriend now also takes her car there.
For a group of young guys/gals, everyone at Electron has been remarkably honest, respectful, and best of all, no one calls you "boss" when you walk through the door.
Lastly, the best thing that Electron does is that they provide you a complete, itemized, online report of any issues with your car (including photos) ranked by priority. Allowing you to choose which repairs to do now and giving you a record of what needs to be done in the future.

Batteries arrived in 2 USPS boxes very quickly and were well packed. Installation videos were helpful. Kit included bus bar jumpers, which I did not expect, but saved time cleaning the ones pulled off the old battery/ Initial results are that the vehicle works well as when it was first purchased in 2007, so battery appears to be working very well. Received a notification call that the old battery was received at Electron and core deposit was refunded. A+ Experience.
I manage an auto repair shop in Maui, Hawaii and I'm happy I came across Electron. I have used batteries from a lot of different sellers and Electron is by far the best.
