Our fully remanufactured hybrid  batteries are the most technologically sound, properly tested and professionally matched remanufactured hybrid batteries on the market today.   The technology to accurately test and diagnose the health, longevity and properties of each cell in every module of a hybrid battery didn’t exist when Electron was founded over a decade ago.  Rather than use inferior off-the-shelf diagnostic equipment, we developed our own proprietary technology with the ability to accurately measure the health, properties and lifespan of each individual battery cell.

An original 2012-2017 Toyota Prius C Hybrid battery contains 20 Prismatic battery modules with each module containing 6 cells. Our proprietary technology allows us to run an extensive list of tests on each of the cells to determine the health and expected lifespan of all 120 cells.  Bad cells are discarded in an ecologically sound manner and the remaining cells are remanufactured to perform better in almost every way.  Internal resistance is lowered, capacity is increased and separator degradation rate is improved.

All modules are stress tested under simulated real life conditions on another one of our proprietary machines. Each cell is balanced and then matched with 119 other cells of equivalent quality, properties and longevity.  The 120 matched and balanced cells are divided into 20 modules with 6 cells per module.  The newly remanufactured Prismatic modules are then numbered in a very specific order to ensure the best performance and longest service life possible.

REFUNDABLE CORE DEPOSITS

Core Deposits are fully refundable on all new and remanufactured hybrid batteries that are shipped prior to the return or exchange of the customer’s old hybrid battery.  The Refundable Core Deposit on this hybrid battery is $599.00 and it will be added to your order during checkout.  

Your core deposit will be fully refunded or credited to your credit card within 2-5 days from receipt of your old battery.  You must return your old hybrid battery to Electron within 30 days of purchase for your core deposit to be fully refundable.  The return period can be extended for a maximum of five (5) days if there are extenuating circumstances, but Electron must be notified in writing at least 48 hours prior to the expiration of your thirty (30) days from purchase date.

Core Deposits are not required for in-shop, local mobile or nationwide mobile installation services. The exchange or return of old hybrid batteries takes place at the time of service or installation, so no core deposit is required.

Why We Need Your Old Hybrid Battery?

Returning your old hybrid battery modules, cells and other components keeps our manufacturing costs down and we pass those savings along to our customers.  Reusing hybrid battery components reduces the amount of fuel, energy and pollution used to  manufacture new parts and it’s much better for our environment.  Customers that prefer keeping their old hybrid battery can do so by adding an amount equal to the core deposit to the purchase price of their hybrid battery.

Our “No Hassle Battery Return Process & FREE SHIPPING” makes returning your old battery and refunding your Core Deposit QUICK & EASY!  All of our hybrid battery purchases come with Free Shipping within the Continental U.S. and Prepaid Return Shipping Labels. 

Just unpack your Electron hybrid battery when it arrives and save the packaging.  Use the packaging to pack-up your old hybrid battery and attach Prepaid Return Shipping Labels to the outside of the packaging. Call the shipping company that delivered your Electron hybrid battery for pickup and return or call 1-800-804-2003 and we will arrange pickup and return delivery for you.  Upon receipt, your Core Deposit will be refunded or credited to your credit card within 2-5 business days.  That’s All There Is To It! 

Core Deposits Only Apply to Hybrid Battery Orders that are Shipped – Core Deposits do not apply to hybrid battery orders that are picked-up at our Hybrid Repair facilities in Orange, California, Local In-Shop hybrid battery installations or mobile hybrid battery installations.  The exchange/return of the customers hybrid battery is handled at the time of service or installation and therefore no core deposit is required.

Electron reserves the right to extend their “Return Within 30 Days of Purchase Policy” if a customer has extenuating circumstances and we receive written notification at least 48 hours in advance.
