An original 2010-2015 Toyota Prius hybrid battery contains 28 battery modules with each module containing 6 cells. Our proprietary technology allows us to run an extensive list of tests on each of the 168 cells to determine the health and expected lifespan of all 168 cells.  Bad cells are discarded in an ecologically sound manner and the remaining cells are remanufactured to perform better in almost every way.  Internal resistance is lowered, capacity is increased and separator degradation rate is improved.

All modules are then stress tested under simulated real life conditions on another one of our proprietary machines. Each cell is balanced and then matched with 167 other cells of equivalent quality, durability and longevity.  The 168 matched and balanced cells are divided into 28 modules with 6 cells per module.  The newly remanufactured Prismatic modules are then numbered in a very specific order to ensure the best performance and longest service life possible.

REFUNDABLE CORE DEPOSITS ON HYBRID BATTERY REBUILD KITS

Core Deposits are fully refundable and apply when rebuild kits are purchased and shipped prior to the exchange or return of your old hybrid battery components.  Core Deposits ensure the timely return or exchange of the components replaced by your remanufactured hybrid battery rebuilt kit.

The Refundable Core Deposit on a Remanufactured Hybrid Battery Rebuild Kit for a 2010-2015 Toyota Prius is $399.00.  The deposit will be added to your order during checkout and will be refunded in full upon receipt of your old hybrid battery components.  Your old hybrid battery components must be returned within 30 days of purchase in order for your entire deposit to be fully refundable.  The return period can be extended for a maximum of up to five (5) days if there are extenuating circumstances, but Electron must be notified in writing at least 48 hours prior to the expiration of your thirty (30) days from purchase date.

Our “No Hassle Battery Return Process & FREE SHIPPING” makes returning your old battery components and refunding your Core Deposit QUICK & EASY!  All of our hybrid battery kits come with Free Shipping within the Continental U.S. + Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico and a Prepaid Return Shipping Label. 

Avoid the hassle of returning your old hybrid battery. Just unpack your new Electron hybrid battery when it arrives and save the packaging.  Use the saved packaging to pack-up your old hybrid battery and attach the Prepaid Return Shipping Label that came with your new battery to the outside of the packaging.  Call the shipper that dropped off your new battery and let them know that your return battery shipment is ready for pick-up. That’s All There Is To It!

Core Deposits Only Apply to Hybrid Battery Orders that are Shipped – Core Deposits do not apply to hybrid battery orders that are picked-up at our Hybrid Repair facilities in Orange, California, Local In-Shop hybrid battery installations or mobile hybrid battery installations.  The exchange/return of the customers hybrid battery is handled at the time of service or installation and therefore no core deposit is required.

Step-by-Step Battery Return Instructions Using Electron’s Prepaid Return Shipping Labels

1. Prepaid Return Shipping Labels makes the return of your old hybrid battery a piece of cake.  Don’t forget that your old hybrid battery needs to be returned to Electron within 30 days of purchase in order to receive your full core deposit refund.
2. When your new Electron hybrid battery arrives, save the packaging and put your old hybrid battery back into the packaging in the same manner that your new battery came in.
3. Your Prepaid Return Shipping Label is included with your new Electron battery, so just attach your Return Shipping Label to the packaging containing your old hybrid battery.
4. Call the shipper that delivered your new battery and let them know that your return battery shipment is ready for pick-up.
5. Once we have received your old hybrid battery, your core deposit will be refunded or credited to your credit card within 2-3 business days. Please remember that your old battery must be received by Electron within 30 days of purchase in order for your deposit to be fully refunded.

Electron reserves the right to extend their “Return Within 30 Days of Purchase Policy” if a customer has extenuating circumstances and we receive written notification at least 48 hours in advance. 4. Your hybrid battery kit will be shipped to your preferred location and includes Prepaid Return Shipping Labels to return your old hybrid battery components.
5. Orders are generally shipped within 48 hours.
