Our fully remanufactured hybrid  batteries are the most technologically sound, properly tested and professionally matched remanufactured hybrid batteries on the market today.   The technology to accurately test and diagnose the health, longevity and properties of each cell in every module of a hybrid battery didn’t exist when Electron was founded over a decade ago.  Rather than use inferior off-the-shelf diagnostic equipment, we developed our own proprietary technology with the ability to accurately measure the health, properties and lifespan of each individual battery cell.

An original 2004-2009 Toyota Prius hybrid battery contains 28 battery modules with each module containing 6 cells. Our proprietary technology allows us to run extensive tests on each cell to determine the health and expected lifespan of all 168 cells.  Bad cells are discarded in an ecologically sound manner and the remaining cells are remanufactured to perform better in almost every way.  Internal resistance is lowered, capacity is increased and separator degradation rate is improved.

All modules are then stress tested under simulated real life conditions on another one of our proprietary machines. Each cell is balanced and then matched with 167 other cells of equivalent quality, durability and longevity.  The 168 matched and balanced cells are divided into 28 modules with 6 cells per module.  The newly remanufactured Prismatic modules are then numbered in a very specific order to ensure the best performance and longest service life possible.

Our 2004-2009 Toyota Prius remanufactured hybrid batteries are shipped to your preferred location and come with detailed installation instructions, access to our how-to video library, ASE Certified Hybrid Technical Support and 12 Month/15,000 Mile No Hassle Warranties.  Our remanufactured hybrid batteries are the best performing, most dependable and longest lasting  hybrid batteries on the market today.

Why Do We Need Your Old Hybrid Battery?

Most sales of hybrid batteries, including batteries purchased from dealerships, are contingent upon receiving the old battery/core in return.  Your old battery has value to us and the cells may not function properly as a unit, but some of the cells are still in good shape as are most other components.  These components and cells can be used to remanufacture hybrid batteries for other hybrid owners.  This helps keep our costs down and the savings are passed on to our customers via lower pricing.

Customers who prefer to keep their old hybrid battery instead of returning it can do so by adding an amount equal to the core deposit to the purchase price of their battery. Click here for full details on our Hybrid Battery and Hybrid Battery Rebuild Kit Core/Component Return Policy.

In addition, reusing your old battery components allows us to keep our manufacturing costs down and the savings are passed on to our customers.  Reusing quality hybrid battery components eliminates the fuel, energy and pollution that it would take to manufacture new parts and they don’t adversely affect our environment by adding to the growing landfill problem that we’re currently facing.
